Carson Optical approached us in 2008 to redesign a pair of binoculars with a sense fresh styling that would appeal to the bird watcher and the hunter alike. Past binoculars suffered from awkwardness of form and inability to sit in the hands comfortably. To solve this, SurfaceID created dozens of foam and CNC models while at the same time generating hundreds of sketches. What you see here was the result; a sophisticated but informal pair of ergo binoculars.
